I used to interface this stuff to automation back n the day... that would the the late 1970's and early 1980's. This is a large zoned heating system central control panel for a building that has been "zoned" to allow the right amount of steam to be delivered. Each unit here monitors the delivery temperature and adjusts valves to maintain the temperature. What's interesting is that the fluidic temperature sensors still report about the correct temperature of the pipes now at ambient -- in the vicinity of 70 degrees F. Bit of a return to Embersville.... more documentary than art today, but that's okay too. I kept low mostly, and played tunnel rat in the miles of steam and staff tunnels. home: http://www.entropicremnants.com blog: http://blog.entropicremnants.com
